From 1992-2008, Siena College in Loudonville, New York and Americans for Democracy in Ukraine (ADU), Inc. have sponsored the Siena College Summer Teacher Training Program for Teachers of English in Ukraine. The Siena Program was developed at Siena College and financed by ADU to assist Ukraine in its training of English language teachers. The Program trains Ukrainian teachers of English in Western English language methodology and in the integration of instructional technology into their school"s curricula. Following the training, Ukrainian teachers establish a local Association of Teachers of English in Ukraine and receive funds from ADU for the establishment of a teacher resource center.
